Gabriel Taschereau in Jordan River

My journey as a photographer began in 1971 with a simple desire to notice more, to slow down, pay attention, and preserve the moments that might otherwise pass unseen. What started as curiosity grew into a deeply personal way of exploring the world. Through the camera, I learned to find meaning in light, texture, movement, and the quiet details of everyday life.

Over time, photography has become more than a creative practice for me; it is a way of connecting with people, places, and stories. I approach each image with openness and intention, always looking for what feels honest and distinctive. My work continues to evolve with every photograph, guided by experience, patience, and the belief that a meaningful image can invite someone to pause, look closer, and see the familiar in a new way.

My experience is in the following fields:

Studio Photography: Producing elegant, expressive fine art portraits and sepia-toned headshots.

Model & CreativPortraiture: Collaborating extensively with local models to create striking, stylized studio imagery.

Fine Art Flora: Transforming elements of nature, such as my notable “composite” series, into dramatic, gallery-worthy centerpieces.
